The PTO Board meets in Milwaukee

Members of the PTO Board are scattered across the country, from Berkeley to New York, Atlanta to Minnesota, and meet monthly online via phone and internet. But once a year to facilitate in depth discussion, training and to complete some of our long list of tasks we meet for a weekend-long retreat. This weekend’s retreat space and housing was donated by Board member Mark Weinberg and PTO Community Representative Jenny Wanasek at their lovely home in a wooded area just outside Milwaukee.

During the retreat we reconnected and got a lot of work done! This weekend’s retreat allowed the board to consider board sustainability, discuss organization inclusion and access, and make plans for increasing our community support. We also trained on communications techniques and strategies and planned for the conference.
